Lv <br /> HARDOUS WASTE CHARACTERIZATION : <br /> A generator is any person, by site, whose act or process produces hazardous waste <br /> or whose act first causes a waste to become subject to regulation as a hazardous waste. <br /> There are three "Generator Status" levels - <br /> LQG (Large Quantity Generator) – More than 1000 kg of hazardous waste/month <br /> SQG (Small Quantity Generator) – Less than 1000 kg of hazardous waste/month <br /> VSQG (Very Small Quantity Generator) – Less than 100kg of hazardous <br /> waste/month <br /> Generator Status determines how long we can store material, how we transport material , <br /> and what fees and specific regulations might apply. <br /> Ace Hardware is considered a VSQG or Very Small Quantity Generator. We are <br /> looking into getting back into that program. In the meantime, we must track the volume <br /> ill NO LONGER accept used paint from our <br /> of latex paint waste generated and we w <br /> customers . If they ask, advise them they can recycle the paint through San Joaquin <br /> County Household Waste program .
