The Southern Pacific Railroad Company operated a major railroad
yard located immediately to the east of the Dynasty parcel. A
roundhouse, utilized for the repair and maintainance of
locomotives, was located within 1000 feet of the Dynasty parcel.
This land is presently inactive, free of any railroad structures,
and undeveloped.
The property west of the Dynasty parcel and Tracy Doulevard has
recently been developed by Renown Enterprises. Previous to the
establishment of this residential tract, the property was
utilized solely for agricultural purposes. The property south of
the Dynasty parcel is a relatively old and established
residential tract.
The Dynasty parcel was formerly owned by the Southern Pacific
Railroad Company and remained undeveloped and inactive except for
periodic cattle grazing. In recent years, the property has been
leased -out by the Stockton Service Corporation for the production
Of row crops. The agricultural lessee indicated that a small
concrete block or structure is located slightly beneath ground
surface in the northwest portion of the parcel. The approximate
location is identified on Attachment 22A. Located in the north
Portion of the parcel is a 150 -foot by 50 -foot agricultural
drainage pond.
Groundwater in the vicinity of the Dynasty parcel ranges from 9
to 15 feet below the ground sLirfa,=e and flows in a northerly
direction.
Field Activities
Attachments Nos. -A & ^B are large-scale (1 inch = 100 feet)
aerial photoghaphs of the Dynasty parcel and the surrounding
Properties.
The crude oil pumping station had two () e -inch diameter
transfer pipes entering the station from the east. Based upon
information obtained from Getty Oil, AEMC sketched the pipelines
onto Atachment 2A. The solid lines indicate the known location of
the pipelines; the brokenlines indicate the assumed pipeline
locations.
AEMC's plan for onsite field investigation of the Dynasty parcel
was as follows.
o Conduct a walE:: of the property to identify any evidence of
proper' --y contamination.
o Locate and identify the oil transport pipelines assumed to
be crossing the north portion of the parcel.
o Drill auger holes to a depth of
identified pipelines and 10 -feet along the
inspect the augered soil
for evidence of crude oil contamination.
