Response to: Routine Inspection 2225 Navy Dr PR0531126 FA0010937 <br /> 110 CCR 66262.40(a) Failed to keep signed copy of manifests from the designated facility for three years. <br /> Copies of uniform manifests for the disposal of hazardous waste for used oil and used absorbent from <br /> 12/17/2015-12/17/2018 were not found on site. Hazardous waste generators shall retain copies of all manifests <br /> signed off by the disposal facility and all receipts used in a consolidated manifesting procedure on site for three <br /> years and have them readily available for review. Immediately locate a copy of all manifests and receipts for the last <br /> three years, maintain them on site, and submit copies to the EHD. <br /> This is a Class II violation. <br /> Response to#110 <br /> Prior to this inspection, we routinely transported what little waste we generated to our main facility <br /> in Concord (after March 2018)or Pleasant Hill (Prior to March 2018). It was consolidated, disposed of <br /> and tracked on our primary account. Going forward, we will maintain 1/55 for Solid waste and it will be <br /> disposed of every 180 days. The filters & Used Oil will continue to be transported to our main facility and <br /> will be documented on a BOL form to be provided. <br /> 11:' HSC 25160.2(b)(3) Failed to keep copies of consolidated manifesting receipts for three years. <br /> Copies of hazardous waste disposal records from 12/17/2015-12/17/2018 for used oil and absorbent were not found <br /> on site. Immediately locate a copy of all manifests and receipts for the last three years, maintain them on site, and <br /> submit copies to the EHD. <br /> This is a minor violation. <br /> Response to#113: <br /> As noted above for#110,we consolidated these items and do not have any manifests tied directly to 2225 <br /> Navy Drive. Going forward as noted above,these will be handled via a BOL to move to Concord or in the case of the <br /> solid waste, disposed of from the site and records will be maintained noting each. <br /> 303 CCR 66262.34(d)(2) Failed to maintain all communication or alarm systems, spill control, or decontamination <br /> equipment. <br /> The fire extingusiher near the front enterance of the shop had lost its charge.All facility communications or alarm <br /> systems, fire protection equipment, spill control equipment, and decontamination equipment,where required, shall <br /> be tested and maintained as necessary to assure its proper operation in time of emergency. Immediately have the <br /> fire extinguisher recharged. <br /> This is a minor violation. <br /> Response to#303: <br /> The fire extinguisher observed was replaced with a new one. See attached picture of new extinguisher. <br /> CCR 66262.34(d)(2) Failed to keep hazardous waste containers closed except when adding or removing <br /> hazardous <br /> waste. <br /> In the shop, one 5 gallon plastic blue bucket cotnaining used oil (full)was observed without a lid.All hazardous <br /> waste containers shall be closed at all times except when adding or removing waste. Immediately close this <br /> container and ensure all hazardous waste containers are closed when not adding or removing waste. <br /> This is a minor violation. <br /> Response to#403: <br /> The 5gal pail with the used Oil was disposed of into our main tank and in turn,that tank was pumped out <br /> and disposed of. Please see pic of empty pail as well as the manifest for the oil pickup. <br />
