See observations noted in violations 102 and 605. <br /> 2.A hazardous waste container labeled for oxidizing waste was found storing a leaking bottle of hydrogen peroxide <br /> and a bagged container of liquid laundry detergent.According to Wilson Nunn, Store Director, the liquid laundry <br /> detergent should have been placed in the hazardous waste container labeled for toxic waste. <br /> REGULATION GUIDANCE: The business owner must ensure that all employees are thoroughly familiar with proper <br /> waste handling and emergency procedures, relevant to their responsibilities during normal facility operations and <br /> emergencies. <br /> CORRECTIVE ACTION: Immediately train or re-train the employees. Provide proof of training or re-training, and a <br /> copy of the training materials,within 30 days to the San Joaquin County Environmental Health Department(EHD) <br /> for employees whose responsibilities include hazardous waste. <br /> This is a minor violation. <br /> 303 CCR 66262.34(4)(2) Failed to maintain all communication or alarm systems, spill control, or decontamination <br /> equipment. <br /> OBSERVATION: The emergency eye wash station located near the hazardous waste storage area is empty and not <br /> operational. <br /> REGULATION GUIDANCE:All facility communications or alarm systems,fire protection equipment,spill control <br /> equipment, and decontamination equipment,where required, shall be tested and maintained as necessary to assure <br /> its proper operation in time of emergency. <br /> CORRECTIVE ACTION: Bring the emergency eye wash station into proper working order by repair, replacement or <br /> testing.
