Assessment Consultant : Applied GeoSystems <br /> Remediation Consultant : Applied GeoSystems <br /> This station was previously owned by Kayo but was sold to <br /> Beacon . Mayo is responsible for the existing contamination at <br /> the station . <br /> Applied GeoSystems has =completed-= the- instalTa°tion of- , f'ive- soil <br /> borings which have been converted to monitoring wells . A site <br /> assessment and remediation report with work plan was submitted <br /> on March 10, 1987 . The plan was reviewed by the RWQCB and <br /> approved after minor revisions . Three wells were installed the <br /> week of December 22, 1987 . The Problem Assessment Report is <br /> expected in early February, 1988 . <br /> 153 East. Eleventh Street J <br /> Tracy, CA <br /> Env. Assessment Consultants : Groundwater Technology , <br /> Remediation Consultant : Groundwater Technology <br /> The underground tanks were removed on October 30, 1986 . <br /> Contaminated Soil in the tank backfill and beneath the tanks was <br /> removed . Dames and Moore installed three- monitoring wells on <br /> December 12, 1986 . Subsequent water sampling showed minor <br /> contamination ranging from 200 to 400 ppb benzene . The report <br /> for Phase I investigation was submitted on February 3, 1987 . <br /> Groundwater Technology, Inc. has conducted Phase II of the <br /> subsurface investigation. This work consisted of installing <br /> five monitoring wells near the boundary of the property and <br /> offsite near the northeast corner of the property. The report <br /> with recommendations was received on ,lune 10, 1987 and was <br /> submitted on June 12, 1987 . <br /> Groundwater Technology recommended that an additional off site <br /> monitoring well be installed across Eleventh Street and up- <br /> gradient from the Kayo site . This well was installed on July 9, <br /> 1987 . significant contamination was found off-site . The Report <br /> discussing off-site work was submitted to RWQCB October 8, 1987 . <br /> Groundwater contamination originates off-site, no further work <br /> anticipated . <br /> ti <br />
