Assessment Consultant : Applied GeoSystems Remediation Consultant : Applied GeoSystems This station was previously owned by Kayo but was sold to Beacon . Mayo is responsible for the existing contamination at the station . Applied GeoSystems has =completed-= the- instalTa°tion of- , f'ive- soil borings which have been converted to monitoring wells . A site assessment and remediation report with work plan was submitted on March 10, 1987 . The plan was reviewed by the RWQCB and approved after minor revisions . Three wells were installed the week of December 22, 1987 . The Problem Assessment Report is expected in early February, 1988 . 153 East. Eleventh Street J Tracy, CA Env. Assessment Consultants : Groundwater Technology , Remediation Consultant : Groundwater Technology The underground tanks were removed on October 30, 1986 . Contaminated Soil in the tank backfill and beneath the tanks was removed . Dames and Moore installed three- monitoring wells on December 12, 1986 . Subsequent water sampling showed minor contamination ranging from 200 to 400 ppb benzene . The report for Phase I investigation was submitted on February 3, 1987 . Groundwater Technology, Inc. has conducted Phase II of the subsurface investigation. This work consisted of installing five monitoring wells near the boundary of the property and offsite near the northeast corner of the property. The report with recommendations was received on ,lune 10, 1987 and was submitted on June 12, 1987 . Groundwater Technology recommended that an additional off site monitoring well be installed across Eleventh Street and up- gradient from the Kayo site . This well was installed on July 9, 1987 . significant contamination was found off-site . The Report discussing off-site work was submitted to RWQCB October 8, 1987 . Groundwater contamination originates off-site, no further work anticipated . ti
