In October 1986, the <br />underground storage tanks failed a precision test. In April of <br />1987, four monitoring wells were installed to assess the possible <br />soil and groundwater contamination. Benzene (1.2 parts per billion <br />(ppb)), toluene (5.1 ppb), total xylenes (1.6 ppb), and total <br />petroleum hydrocarbons (59.9 ppb) were found in the groundwater via <br />monitoirng well number four. <br />Pursuant to Section 2652(d) of the Underground Storage Tank <br />Regulations (California Administrative Code, Title 23, Subchapter <br />16) a quarterly monitoring report shall be submitted to Public <br />Health Services, Environmental Health Division and Central Valley <br />Regional Water Quality Control Board (MONITORING) until the <br />investigation and cleanup of the site is deemed adequate. The <br />report is to show the: <br />--status of investigation and cleanup activities <br />including the results of all investigations <br />completed to date; <br />-proposed continuing or next phase of investigation; <br />-method of cleanup proposed or implemented, <br />schedules for the completion of the investigation <br />of the site and remediation; <br />-monitoring well data including groundwater <br />elevation, pH, conductivity, gradient; <br />-analytical results of groundwater or soil sampling; <br />and <br />-a site map showing the "zero line" of <br />contamination, if known, and changes in the above <br />measurements over the last quarter. <br />A Division of San Joaquin County Health Care Services 0 <br />
