CA 95 2, <br /> 662 / FAX 916) 990-0332 <br /> August 22, 2002 <br /> Joseph Aldridge <br /> Ultramar, Inc <br /> 685 W Third Street <br /> Hanford, CA 93230 <br /> Subject Supplement Letter for Request For Site Closure Report <br /> Former Beacon Station #610, 3300 Waterloo Road, Stockton, CA <br /> Dear Mr Aldridge <br /> Doulos Environmental, Inc (Doulos), has been authorized by Ultramar, Inc (Ultramar) <br /> to produce a supplemental closure document for the site located at 3300 Waterloo <br /> Road, Stockton, California (Figures 1 and 2) In a phone conversation between Harlin <br /> Knk&Land yourself, a list of other information was needed prior to evaluating the site for <br /> closure This included hydrocarbon mass balance calculations, an updated well survey, <br /> and all historical data to be tabulated This letter is intended to supplement the Acton <br /> Mickelson van Dam's (AMVs) January 24, 1995 Request for Site Closure Report <br /> (Appendix A) <br /> SITE HISTORY UPDATE FROM 1995 TO PRESENT <br /> Since 1995 the environmental work has been limited to two ground water monitoring <br /> events dated March 25, 1999 and September 1, 1999 Groundwater samples were <br /> analyzed for BTEX, TPHg and TPkd, methyl-t-butyl ether (MTBE), diisopropyl ether <br /> (DIPS), ethyl-t-butyl ether (ETBE), Tert-amyl methyl ether (TAME), tert-butanol (TBA), <br /> methanol, ethanol, 1,2-dichloroethane (1,2-DCA), and 1,2-dibromoethane (1,2-EDB) <br /> Cumulative ground water analytical results are summarized in Table 1 <br /> During the March 25, 1999 sampling event, of the above referenced constituents, only <br /> MTBE was detected in monitoring wells MW-4, MW-5 and MW-6 at concentrations of <br /> 1 1, 1 6, and 2 2 ppb, respectively The September 1, 1999 Analytical results from <br /> monitoring wells MW-1 through MW-7 indicated MTBE, DIPS, ETBE, TAME, TBA, <br /> methanol, ethanol, 1,2-DCA, and 1,2-EDB were not detected in any of the wells <br /> sampled Only one well, MW-5, had measurable amounts of petroleum hydrocarbon <br /> constituents at 66 ppb of TPHd <br /> Cost Effective Solutions <br />
