Subject Supplement Letter for Request For Site Closure Report
Former Beacon Station #610, 3300 Waterloo Road, Stockton, CA
Dear Mr Aldridge
Doulos Environmental, Inc (Doulos), has been authorized by Ultramar, Inc (Ultramar)
to produce a supplemental closure document for the site located at 3300 Waterloo
Road, Stockton, California (Figures 1 and 2) In a phone conversation between Harlin
Knk&Land yourself, a list of other information was needed prior to evaluating the site for
closure This included hydrocarbon mass balance calculations, an updated well survey,
and all historical data to be tabulated This letter is intended to supplement the Acton
Mickelson van Dam's (AMVs) January 24, 1995 Request for Site Closure Report
(Appendix A)
SITE HISTORY UPDATE FROM 1995 TO PRESENT
Since 1995 the environmental work has been limited to two ground water monitoring
events dated March 25, 1999 and September 1, 1999 Groundwater samples were
analyzed for BTEX, TPHg and TPkd, methyl-t-butyl ether (MTBE), diisopropyl ether
(DIPS), ethyl-t-butyl ether (ETBE), Tert-amyl methyl ether (TAME), tert-butanol (TBA),
methanol, ethanol, 1,2-dichloroethane (1,2-DCA), and 1,2-dibromoethane (1,2-EDB)
Cumulative ground water analytical results are summarized in Table 1
During the March 25, 1999 sampling event, of the above referenced constituents, only
MTBE was detected in monitoring wells MW-4, MW-5 and MW-6 at concentrations of
1 1, 1 6, and 2 2 ppb, respectively The September 1, 1999 Analytical results from
monitoring wells MW-1 through MW-7 indicated MTBE, DIPS, ETBE, TAME, TBA,
methanol, ethanol, 1,2-DCA, and 1,2-EDB were not detected in any of the wells
sampled Only one well, MW-5, had measurable amounts of petroleum hydrocarbon
constituents at 66 ppb of TPHd
