Justice
Environmental Control Officer
City of Stockton
Municipal Utilities Department
2500 Navy Drive
Stockton, CA 95206
RE: Aramark Laundry Facility - 7679 S. Longe Street, Stockton, CA 95206
Dear Mr. Justice,
This letter is additional follow up to our meeting on Wednesday, July 24, 2019 and our letters
dated July 16th and July 19th regarding a water hose that was left on at our Stockton facility the
evening of July 15th. During our meeting on July 241', you requested that we provide the
following additional information:
1. The source of the water
2. The amount released
3. Notification times with telephone numbers called
4. The path of water from source to storm drain
5. Corrective actions taken
6. Copy of our Spill Prevention Plan, and
7. Response procedures taken.
As described in our prior letters, the source of the release was a water hose (the size of a
typical garden hose) approximately %" style which was left running the night of July 15th
releasing clean water in the interior of the facility. Based on information provided by
maintenance staff, we believe the hose was turned on at approximately 6:00 pm on July 15°i.
We estimate, based on the duration of elapsed time from 6:00 pm to 10:15 pm, when I was
notified of the release, that approximately 2,300 gallons of water flooded the interior of the
building. Of this amount, approximately 200-400 gallons seeped through absorbent socks
positioned at the rollup door and ran into the parking lot.
7679 S.
