These tasks may <br /> delegate to appropriate personnel. <br /> • Stop all machinery immediately and shutdown the boiler, if safe to do so. <br /> • This person secures utility service lines (natural gas and electricity) at the exterior locations as <br /> necessary and possible. <br /> • Verify that the Sprinkler Riser Valves outside the building are open. <br /> • If applicable the Senior Engineer will operate the fire pump. <br /> • If it is not safely possible for him to perform these functions, he should notify the Senior Person in <br /> Charge to coordinate these activities with the fire department or other emergency respondents. <br /> • Insure that all fire extinguishers maintained current and accessible. <br /> Insure that the sprinkler system maintained with all annual, monthly and weekly-required checks. Refer to <br /> Appendix 6. <br /> Supervisors <br /> The Supervisors in charge of an area at the time of an emergency are responsible for the following: <br /> • Immediately contact Senior Person-In Charge and provide information about the situation, assist in <br /> evaluating the situation. <br /> • If safe to do so, coordinates in-house spill clean up, fire response, or first aid activities <br /> • Ensure that all aisles and exits are clear. <br /> • Assist with notifying all personnel of evacuations. <br />
