Policy: AUS Policy Title: Revision Date: Page 5 of 22 <br /> AUS - 006 Emergency Response Policy 8/10/18 <br /> • Ensuring that all employees, contractors and visitors within his or her area have evacuated and for <br /> ,identifying, those unaccounted for and relaying the information to the Senior Person in Charge. <br /> • Bring all employee schedules to the evacuation location. <br /> All Employees <br /> All employees are responsible for the following: <br /> • Insure to report emergencies to supervisor. <br /> • If safe to do so and with concurrence from the supervisor, utilize spill clean up equipment, fire <br /> extinguishers, or first aid supplies. Note that such work is voluntary. <br /> • If evacuation is necessary, employees shall evacuate the facility in an orderly manner and shall meet <br /> at the designated evacuation assembly areas. Personal belongings in the immediate vicinity may be <br /> picked up while evacuating. <br /> • Employees shall remain at the assembly areas until otherwise directed. Employee shall not return to <br /> workplace or leave property without authorization from their supervisor or the Senior Person in <br /> Charge. <br /> • If evacuation is necessary, and if safe to do so, employees will shutdown their equipment, and <br /> forklift/pallet jacks will be parked in a safe location to avoid blocking exits. <br /> List any specially assigned responsibilities: <br /> • Emergency Response Coordinator- Visitor Log and Emergency Duffle Bag to Staging Area <br /> • All Shift Managers —Will follow employees out to emergency staging area and take roll call <br /> EVACUATION PROCEDURES <br /> Evacuation of the facility may become necessary in the case of emergencies such as fire, earthquake, <br /> power outages, and unplanned release of hazardous chemicals, bomb threat, or other emergency that <br /> requires evacuation. The following procedures take place at this plant in the case of evacuation. <br /> • An employee can initiate a plant evacuation by notifying any manager or lead person of an <br /> emergency in their area. <br /> • Once the evacuation initiates, shut off equipment, if possible, and quickly proceed to the nearest exit. <br /> Once outside of plant, proceed to the evacuation assembly location using the proper exit routes. <br /> Evacuation maps showing exit routes and the assembly areas posted throughout the plant. <br /> • Each Supervisor will conduct a headcount to be sure everyone is accounted for utilizing the daily <br /> employee schedules and each will report to senior person in charge. <br /> • Receptionist will account for visitors and will report to Senior Person in Charge <br /> • Radios or mobile phones used to communicate during the evacuation. <br /> • Senior Person in Charge will assign a person to monitor the front gate to direct emergency personnel <br /> and to prevent unauthorized personnel to enter the site. <br />
