I <br /> 2 <br /> former 500-gallon waste oil tank at Location 1 did not have a product line and had not <br /> been in service in recent memory. <br /> The product line for the former 1,000-gallon waste oil tank at Location 2 is shown as the I <br /> "Extraction Tube" on Plate 4. This line ran from a bay in;;the tire shop from a small sump <br /> where waste oil was deposited and flowed to the tank. At the'time of the tank removal, this <br /> tube was cut and plugged according to the County sources listed in Response 1, above. <br /> The location of underground utilities near the tank locations was surveyed g y d by County � <br /> Government Buildings staff under direction of Mr. Larry Silva: This survey indicated the 2 <br /> underground sewer lines running near the tank at Location 1as shown on Plate 3, and that <br /> no underground lines other than the "Extraction Tube" shown on Plate 4 are present near <br /> the-tank at Location 2. <br /> COMMENT 3: <br /> Submit documentation of the disposition of the excavated contaminated soil. <br /> RESPONSE TO COMMENT 3: <br /> The excavated soil from the tank removal project at tank: location is stored in seven 55- <br /> gallon drums. These drums are currently located at the County Motor Pool complex at 444 <br /> South Wilson Way. The SAWP will involve only drilling and sampling of test borings. <br /> Soil cuttings from drilling will be stored onsite .in 55,gallon drums for disposal to be <br /> performed by the County. A work" plan for excavation of contaminated soil will be ' <br /> developed in the future as a Site Remediation Work Plan and.will be based on findings of <br /> the site assessment. <br /> COMMENT 4: <br /> Survey the exact location, status, depth, static level water measurement, and type <br /> (municipal, domestic, irrigation) of water wells within 500 feet. <br /> RESPONSE TO COMMENT 4: <br /> Information for water level measurement, taken in April,1988 at Station 1 of California <br /> Water Company was obtained from the San Joaquin Flood Control Division of Public <br /> Works.
