y` August 5, 1988 AGS Job No. 38033-1
f Marlowe Properties, Stockton, California
water at a site approximately 1 mile southwest that is currently
being monitored by Applied GeoSystems has fallen approximately 15
feet.
A ground-water sample was collected from the air-fluid interface
in the monitoring well for subjective analyses by lowering
approximately half the length of a Teflon bailar past the
interface. The bailer was retrieved, and the water sample was
examined for floating product, sheen, or other subjective .evidence
of hydrocarbon contamination. Obvious moderate product odor was
detected in monitoring well MW-1. After subjective analyses, the
monitoring well was developed by surge-pumping with a submersible
electric pump. A total of 55 gallons of ground water was removed
Brom well MW-1.
Atter well development, ground-water samples were collected from
the monitoring wells by lowering a clean Teflon bailer past the
air-water interface to a point approximately 3 feet below the
interface. The bailer was then recovered and the sample slowly
transferred to laboratory-cleaned, 40-milliliter glass volatile
- - - - organic analysis-vials.-- -Concentratedhydrochloric acid Was added
to each sample as a preservative. The sample containers were then
labeled and immediately placed in iced storage. Chain of Custody
Records were initiated by the geologist and accompanied the
10
App1100' 0990Sy010Ms
