SCOPE OF WORK <br /> The lateral and vertical extent of the 1,2-DCA-impacted ground water must be defined an order to <br /> determine the risks posed to the nearby private well and justify further ground water remediation <br /> AGE proposes the installations of two shallow screened and one deep screened monitoring well to <br /> define the lateral and vertical extent of 1,2-DCA-impacted ground water The current site assessment <br /> tasks will consist of the following <br /> • Permitting and pre-field work activities, <br /> • Drilling and soil sample collection, <br /> • Monitoring well installation and development, <br /> Ground water sample collection, <br /> I • Preparation of a report of findings <br /> I3 1 PERMITTING AND PRE-FIELD WORK ACTIVITIES <br /> Applicable site assessment permits will be obtained from the EHD In addition, an update to the <br /> I health and safety plan presently on-file will be prepared m accordance with Occupational Safety and <br /> Health Guidance Manual for Hazardous Waste Site Activities (National Institute for Occupational <br /> Safety and Health Administration, U S Coast Guard and U S Environmental Protection Agency, <br /> I1985) Prior to mobilization, the monitoring well location will be clearly marked and a utility <br /> clearance obtained through Underground Service Alert <br /> I <br /> 3 2 DRILLING AND SOIL SAMPLE COLLECTION <br /> AGE proposes to install two shallow screened ground water monitoring wells at the site <br /> approximately 30 and 75 feet northeast of well MW-5 and one deep screened ground water <br /> monitoring well between VW-1 and MW-5 (Figure 2) Based on a water table level currently at 75 <br /> feet bsg, the borings for the proposed shallow ground water monitoring wells will be advanced to <br /> • approximately 85 feet bsg and the boring for the deep well will be advanced to approximately <br /> Advanced GcoEnvironmental,Inc <br /> I <br />
