28 March 2002
iAGE-NC Project No 95-0104
' concentrations ranging from 1 5 µg/1 to 77 µg11 BTEX and other fuel additives were not detected
at or above laboratory reporting limits In the groundwater samples collected from the site Analytical
results of the groundwater samples are summarized in Table 2 The laboratory reports(McCampbell
' Analytical Inc Lab I D No 89342 through 89348) and chain-of-custody form are presented in
Appendix B
4.0. DISCUSSION AND CONCLUSIONS
Based on data collected during the January 2002 sampling event, AGE concludes
• The ground water flow direction is Inferred to vary towards the east to the northeast under
' a gradient varying from 0 002 to 0 003 feet/feet Figure 3 Illustrates the contoured ground
water elevations
• TPH-g was detected in well MW-1 just above laboratory reporting limits 1,2-DCA was
detected in all four shallow-screened monitoring wells at concentrations as high as 77 µg/1
Figure 4 illustrates the approximate extent of 1,2-DCA-Impacted ground water
 i
5 0. RECOMMENDATIONS
Based on the findings of this investigation,AGE recommends the shallow-screened monitoring wells
(VW-1, MW-1, MW-5 and MW-6) be monitored and sampled for at least two additional quarters
to monitor the concentrations of 1,2-DCA-impacted groundwater The next monitoring event should
be scheduled for June 2002
6.0. LIMITATIONS
Our professional services were performed using that degree of care and skill ordinarily exercised by
environmental consultants practicing in this or similar localities The findings were based upon
I analytical results provided by an Independent laboratory Evaluations of the geologic/hydrogeologic
conditions at the site for the purpose of this investigation are made from a limited number of
available data points (I e ground water samples) and subsurface conditions may vary away from
these data points No other warranty, expressed or Implied, is made as to the professional
recommendations contained in this report
Advanced GeoEnvironmental,Inc
