A typical logging data sheet Is <br /> provided In Appendix C, <br /> Equipment <br /> Drill Rig: Hollow-Stem Auger;8-Inch O,D,; <br /> CME,5-foot Continuous Core Barrels; 6-inch O.D.; <br /> 3-Inch diameter(O.D.)modified California Split-Spoon Drive Sampler; <br /> 2.5-Inch or 2.0-Inch Brass or Stainless Steel Liners and Sealing Materials(Foil&Plastic End-Caps); <br /> 2-inch diameter(O.D.Standard Penetration Sampler); <br /> HNU PID-Organic Vapor Analyzer(OVA)or equivalent; <br /> Sampler Cleaning Equipment <br /> f'9 <br /> Steam cleaner <br /> r-° Generator <br /> .4 Stiff-bristle brushes <br /> Buckets <br /> Tarp <br /> 1.4 Trisodlum phosphate TSP(soap) <br /> Methanol <br /> Delonlzed water <br /> Potable water <br /> Steel drums <br /> Insulated Sample Storage and Shipping Containers(ice Chests);and, <br /> Personal Protective Equipment per Slte Safety Plan(Generally level D protection), <br /> I YPICAf_PROCEDURES <br /> ° All applicable drilling and well-constructlon permits will be obtained prior to mobilization. <br /> ° Drilling locations will be cleared for underground utilities with the owner's site representative. <br /> ° All sample logging and boring construction will be under direct supervision of a Registered <br /> Geologist. <br /> ° Borings which will be drilled to construct shallow mon€toring wells will be drilled with an auger <br /> drill rig using 8-Inch O.D.hollow-stem augers. <br /> ° Soil samples for lithologic logging and chemical and physical analyses will be collected by <br /> driving a 3.0-Inch diameter (O.D.) modlfled California spilt-spoon drive sampler In 5-foot <br /> increments below the depth of the auger bit with a rig mounted hammer. The Standard <br /> Penetration Resistance wIlll-be recorded.-€f the sample is pushed rather than driven,-the push-- -- - -— ---- <br /> ---------- <br /> __, force will be recorded.
