z
Covenant Page 2 of 2,
- Environmental
RECOtItIMATI0N5 TO CLIENT COZAD TRAILERS
1. The initial preliminary site appraisal showed no evidence of overt
soil contamination, excessive waste storage nor improper disposal
'Housekeeping' and Work Area Planning show training
activity. . Good
and concern by COZAD personnel.
2. The removal of the underground tanks became a matter of consternation
initially because there was not an Environmental Assessor to explain
the analytical results and liaison with the regulatory agency. The
initial laboratory was of no help by reporting units in parts per
billion rather than parts per million; This at first glance, called
for some extreme remediation activities. In reality, and in sum,
LESS THAN TEN CUBIC YARDS OF SOIL WAS CONTAMINATED AND AT NO TIME
DID IT EXCEED 200 mg/kg. All indications point to a possible tank
overfill at sometime and not a leaking UFT.
3. The three underground tanks have been removed and disposed according
to TriValley Water Quality and Department of Health Service mandates.
The comparatively minimal contaminated soil was aerated according to
Article 11 of the State Air Quality Board's Chapter 40.
The soil was sampled, analyzed (EPA SWB461 and reviewed by California
ry. In short, the soil is
Department of Health Certified Laborato
as 'clean' as can be expected and can be relocated anywhere on the
property.
This note concludes a preliminary site appraisal, assessment, and
I€ I can be of further assistance or
DPT remediation operation.
- provide any necessary information, Please contact me.
crrtOMdrA'r
WR
Sincerely,
a005.ri$ ¢ Reve:r
i.E'CER'-
No. ,10_AL£NDiNGER, R.G.
Craig Wright.-...-- 4_/31 u.
oA CAE t GZ A- P.Lh`.L.ti LI
5olano Couni
_ u' 7 P.O.Sox 56
EI Dorado County a Fairfield.CA 9453
P.O.Box 1986 T 9 j Cj' (70T)429.892
Lotus,CA 96051 Ffi CAL
(916)
AL(916)626.0918
