(ATC) on your behalf. Chemicals of concern have not been
detected in any of the groundwater samples from the three onsite groundwater monitoring
wells for the above-referenced site.
ATC may be able to demonstrate that this site does not require further action according to
the Central Valley Regional Water Quality Control Board (CVRWQCB) Tri-Regional
Board Staff Recommendations document. Further investigation to estimate the current
mass of contamination remaining in the soil may be necessary, in which case, please
submit a work plan for this investigation. If ATC can demonstrate that no further action
is required at this site with the data gathered to date, a report should be prepared and
submitted to EHD and the CVRWQCB for evaluation that includes a site model,
contamination mass estimates supported by calculations, and narrative that addresses the
source of contamination detected in soil and grab groundwater samples collected from
soil borings B-1, SB-3 and SB-4.
Please continue to monitor the groundwater semiannually until site closure and submit
the reports to EHD within ninety days of each sampling event. If you have any questions,
please contact Vicki McCartney at (209) 468-3456 or by electronic mail at
vmccartney@sjcehd.com.
Donna Heran, RENS, Director
Environmental Health Department
Victoria L.
