`s `(
Ms. Lori Duncan,SJCEHD February 2,2012
Evaluation of VW-6 and Request for Extension
102 South Wilson Way, Stockton
Page 2
2011). It could be possible that injecting hydrogen peroxide into the well resulted in well
damage at the top of the well screen; however, this is admittedly speculative.
Given the presence of an obstruction within well VW-6, Stratus recommends that the well
be destroyed by overdrilling. After drilling out the well to total depth, Stratus recommends
that a replacement groundwater monitoring well be re-constructed in the same borehole.
The new well would be constructed with a shallower, and shorter, screened interval than
existing well VW-6. Details regarding the new well construction will be specified in the
modified RAP.
If you have any questions, please contact Scott Bittinger at (530) 676-2062 or Jay
Johnson at(530) 676-6000.
Sincerely,
3T'KKATU9 ENVIRONMENTAL, INC.
✓ (4"v, W
Scott G.
