l i <br /> Work Plan for Additional Site Assessment Il ; <br /> ARCO Facility No.5469 <br /> Stockton,California �4 <br /> Page 5 <br /> t, <br /> rr <br /> i <br /> Task 3: Groundwater Sampling <br /> il• <br /> A minimum of 48 hours after the groundwater monitoring wells are installed, the wells will <br /> be purged and groundwater samples will be collected:; The samples will be collected using <br /> a disposable bailer, transferred to laboratory-supplied glass vials, and placed in an <br /> ice-chilled cooler. The samples will remain chilled until relinquished to a state-certified <br /> analytical laboratory. Strict chain-of-custody procedures will be followed from the time the <br /> samples are collected until the time the samples are relinquished to the laboratory. <br /> Task 4: Laboratory Analysis <br /> } <br /> Soil and groundwater samples will be forwarded to a California state-certified laboratory for <br /> chemical analysis under strict chain-of-custody procedures. The soil and groundwater I� <br /> samples will be analyzed for TPHG using USEPA Method 8015/8020 DHS/LUFT and for <br /> benzene, toluene, ethylbenzene, and xylenes (BTEX), MTBE, ethyl tertiary butyl ether <br /> (ETBE), di-isopropyl ether (DIPE), tertiary amyl 'methyl ether {TAME}, TBA and <br /> 1,2 dichloroethane(1,2 DCA),using USEPA Method 8260. <br /> Ire !1 i <br /> l' <br /> Task S: Waste Management <br /> All generated drill cuttings, excess soil samples, and .wastewater generated during the fieldTM <br /> j <br /> activities will be placed on and covered with Visqueen plastic and stored onsite. A <br /> composite sample will be collected from the soil cuttings and will be analyzed to determine <br /> an appropriate disposal method. A licensed contractor will transport the soil to an <br /> appropriate disposal facility. '!! <br /> r <br /> Task 6: Report Preparation <br /> Upon receipt of all analytical reports, a site assessment report will be prepared. The report ,3 <br /> will summarize previous work conducted and present the findings of the proposed <br /> assessment. The report will include but not be limited to analytical tables, a scaled site plan, <br /> site geology; soil boring logs, certified analytical reports, and findings and conclusions of <br /> the assessment. <br /> Task 7: Quarterly <br /> uarterl Groundwater Monitoring <br /> The newly installed groundwater monitoring wells will be incorporated into the existing <br /> quarterly monitoring program for the Site.
