Site Assessment Work'Plan
Mid Valley Trailer Sales
2421 (2461)North Wilson Way, Stockton, California
1.0. INTRODUCTION AND SCOPE OF WORK
In accordance with the request of Mr. Robert Reeder,Advanced GeoEnvironmental, Inc. (AGE) has
prepared this Site Assessment Work Plan for investigation of hydrocarbon-impacted soil and ground
water associated with an unauthorized release of petroleum hydrocarbons from an underground
storage tank (UST) system at 2461 North Wilson Way, Stockton, California. The former street
address was 2421 North Wilson Way. The proposed scope of work initially includes advancement
of four soil probe borings and collection of soil samples. Additional probings may be advanced
based upon field observations.
This work plan was prepared in accordance with San Joaquin County Public Health Services -
Environmental Health Division (PHS-EHD) and Central Valley Regional Water Quality Control
Board(CVRWQCB) guidelines for the investigation of UST sites. The site location is illustrated on
Figure 1 - Location Map. Structures and proposed soil probe boring locations on the site are
illustrated on Figure 2 - Site Plan.
2.0. BACKGROUND
The site is located on the west side of Wilson Way, south of Sanguinetti Lane. One building is
currently located on the site. The remainder of the site is gravel parking area. The site is currently
occupied by Pacific Towing.
It is our understanding that one 1,000-gallon regular gasoline UST was removed from the north side
of the building in August 1991. Total petroleum hydrocarbons quantified as gasoline (TPH-g) was
detected in a sample collected beneath the dispenser a concentration of 280 parts per million (ppm).
In September 1997, approximately 20 cubic yards of soil was excavated at the former dispenser
location to a depth of 7 feet below surface grade. TPH-g was detected at a concentration of 8,100
ppm in a soil sample collected from the bottom of the excavation. The PHS-EHD has required
additional investigation to define the vertical and lateral extent of impact.
3.0. SCOPE OF WORK
3.1. DRILLING AND SAMPLING
AGE proposes to initially advance four soil probe borings (probing) to depths of approximately 30
feet below surface grade (bsg). Probings may be advanced to greater depths or additional probings
may be advanced based upon field observations, time permitting. The probings will be advanced
Advanced GeoEnvironmental,Inc.
