Wilson Way, Stockton, CA (Site Code: 1306)`
Dear Mr. Infurna:
This letter report presents a discussion of the work performed by Ground Zero Analysis, Inc
(Ground Zero) and the results of the groundwater monitoring and sampling activities conducted at
the Former Harry's Auto Mart (Site) during the first quarter of 2008. Figure 1 shows the location
of the Site.
GROUNDWATER MONITORING ACTIVITIES
Activities at the site included measuring water level elevations, purging monitoring wells and
collecting groundwater samples. All samples were analyzed for total petroleum hydrocarbons as
gasoline (TPHg); benzene, toluene, ethylbenzene, and xylenes (BTEX); gasoline oxygenate additives
(oxygenates) [t-butanol (TBA), methyl tert-butyl ether (MTBE), di-isopropyl ether (DIPE), ethyl tert-
butyl ether (ETBE), and tert-amyl methyl ether.(TAME)]; lead scavengers [1,2-dichloroethane (1,2-
DCA), and 1,2-dibromoethane.(EDB)].
Groundwater Monitoring
Based upon historical observations at the Site and the adjacent U-Haul site that potentiometric surface
elevation and groundwater flow varies with completion depth, the wells at the site have informally
been divided into three zones of completion: a shallow or "A Zone" represented by wells MW1, .
MW2, MW3 and MW4; an intermediate zone (`B Zone") represented by wells MW5, MW6 and
MW7; and a deeper"C Zone"represented by MW1D.
On March 25, 2008, water levels were measured in the site monitoring wells. Depth to groundwater
in the A Zone wells ranged from 47.50 feet below top of casing (btoc) (MW2) to 48.21 feet btoc
(MW1). Depth to groundwater in the B Zone wells ranged from 46.45 feet btoc (MW7) to 47.04
i
GAGROUNDMHARRYS AUTO\Reports\QMR\2008\iQM2008.doc
