SANJ O A Q U I N Environmental Health Department <br /> COUNTY <br /> 7. Anchor all USTs using tank anchors as detailed in the permit application and per manufacturer's written <br /> install instructions. <br /> 8. Install concrete of sufficient thickness over USTs, around sumps and dispensers, according to the <br /> manufacturer's written installation instructions and buoyancy calculations. <br /> 9. Install all product and vent piping according to manufacturer's written installation instructions; maintain all <br /> appropriate piping distances and installation depths. <br /> 10. All appropriate test ports must be installed to facilitate routine communication testing (e.g. at the beginning <br /> and end of each vacuum zone branch, and inside brine filled sumps, etc). No additional shut off valves <br /> should be installed between the monitored interstitial spaces and their respective sensors. <br /> 11. All monitoring systems shall be listed in the State Water Resources Control Board's Local Guidance Letter <br /> (LG) 113 letter. <br /> 12. All installation and testing shall be in compliance with manufacturer's instructions, section 2635 and section <br /> 2636 of California Code of Regulations (CCR). <br /> 13. All tank top openings that are connected to the primary space of the UST must have secondary <br /> containment, audible/visual alarm and be vapor tight or terminate at grade. <br /> 14. Sumps and under dispenser containment must be constructed in a manner to prevent vapors from entering <br /> the backfill. <br /> 15. All secondary containment must be constructed to prevent water intrusion. <br /> 16. The secondary containment system must be continuously monitored as required under California Health <br /> & Safety Code (HSC) 25290.1 <br /> 17. Overfill prevention shall satisfy CCR 2635(b)(2)(C) pursuant to the permit application, all appropriate drop <br /> tube and tank gauge design calculations shall be provided to the EHD prior to scheduling of the overfill <br /> verification inspection. <br /> 18. No ball floats shall be installed on vent lines to comply with the overfill prevention requirements (40 C.F.R. <br /> § 280.20(c)) <br /> 19. All metal components in direct contact with the ground such as flexible connectors, swing joints, fittings, <br /> clamps, bands, and pumps shall have adequate corrosion protection. <br /> 20. A "Certification of Installation / Modification" form for installed tanks shall be submitted into CERS by the <br /> owner or the owners' agent [pursuant to California Code of Regulation (CCR) 2635(d)] before this UST <br /> installation will be considered complete by the EHD. <br /> 21. An accurate and drawn to scale as-built drawing(s), which indicate the location of the underground storage <br /> tanks (underground storage tank, piping, auxiliary and monitoring equipment) with respect to buildings or <br /> other landmarks (per 23 CCR 16 2711(8)) and copies of any required installation checklists (tank <br /> installation, etc.) must be submitted to the EHD prior to scheduling a final inspection. <br /> 22. Designated Operator (DO) training requirement (per 23 CCR 16 2715(f)) must be satisfied prior to <br /> scheduling the final inspection. <br /> 23. Valid BOE must be obtained and provided to EHD prior to fuel drop and must be uploaded into the <br /> California Environmental Reporting System (CERS) prior to scheduling the final inspection. <br /> 3 of 4 <br />
