INTRODUCTION At the request of Mrs. MaryLou Pontes, Advanced Geo nvironinental; Inc. (AGE).has prepared this Preliminary Site Assessment Work Plan for the Quic i-Kleen Car Wash site located at 707.East Yosemite Avenue, Manteca, California (site). The'loc4tion of-the site is illustrated on Figure 1 Location Map. A plan of the site is:illustrated on Figur 2 -Site Plan. The enclosed Work Plan was prepared as required by the San Joaquin County,Public Health Services - Environmental Health Division(PHS-EHD)-to determ ne-if an unauthorized release of petroleum has occurred in the past five years from the three 'underground storage tanks on the site.-Additionally, this work plan is prepared in accordance with PHS-EHD and Central Valley Regional Water Quality Control Board(RWQCB)guidelines'for the subsurface investigation of underground storage tanks .(UST) sites. The.purpose of thissite,assessment is to evaluate if pe 'leu' m hydrocarbon have impacted the soil . and ground water.at the site:,This Work Plan provides a description--of the scope of work and procedures to be used in soil probe borings, soil and gr and water sample collection and analysis, and soil boring abandonment. 2.0. BACKGROUND = The site is at 707 East Yosemite Avenue, Manteca, Cali ornia(Figure 1) on the southeast corner of Yosemite Avenue (Highway 120) and Almond Avenu ,(Figure 2). - 2.1. .' SITE DESCRIPTION r The site is 'occupied by the.`Quick=Kleen Car Wash; hich stored and distributed diesel'fuel and. unleaded gasoline for retail sale..The underground stora a tank (UST) facility of-the service•station consisted of one 10,000-gallon unleaded gasoline USTs one 8,000 -gallon unleaded gasoline`USTs, and one 8;000-gallon diesel fuel UST-and two fuel disp enser-island (Figure'2). The diesel.fuel and gasoline USTs are Iocated on the southeast corner of ihe.site. The fuel dispenser island are-were - located along the southern central portion of the site a proximately 15.to 20 feet west of the three fuel USTs. The surface of the site, surrounding the a>ea of the STs and fuel dispenser island, is covered entirely with concrete.
