PREVIOUS.INVESTIGATIONS <br /> It is our understanding that a previous subsurface investigation was'performed in 1993. Two soil <br /> borings and-three ground water monitoring wells were'drilled and sampled at the site. According to <br /> Ms. Pontes,,.no hydrocarbon-impacted -soil. or.,groiind water were.encountered during the <br /> investigation. However, AGE was not provided withh-c pies'of the report of previous.investigation <br /> for review. <br /> 2.3. REGIONAL GROUND WATER DEPTH AN FLOW DIRECTION <br /> According the.information obtained from the .initial site assessment, ground-water depth in the <br /> vicinity of the site,is approximately 15 to 20 feet bs . Regional ground water flow direction is <br /> generally northwest to north-northeast. However,both gfound water depth and flow direction-at the. <br /> site can vary seasonally. <br /> 3.0. SCOPE OF WORK <br /> The existing USTs at the site were lined in 1993.New piping "andcathodicprotection is scheduled - <br /> to be installed at the site..However,..in'accordance With PHS=EHD requirements; prior to.upgrade,. <br /> soil and/or.ground.water samples must becollected be eath.the USTs to determine,if a release.has <br /> occurred since lining of the.
