REMOVAL OF ALTERNATIYE WATER SUPPI, <br /> After it was proven that the wellhead treatment system was operating as <br /> designed, the Aeropure Water alternative water supply was removed from <br /> the easternmost residence <br /> TREATMENT SYSTEM SAMPLING — JUNE 2001 <br /> As previously mentioned within this report, the current schedule for <br /> sample collection is on a quarterly basis The month of June falls within <br /> the second quarter of the year Therefore, on June 14, 2001, water <br /> samples were collected from the subject property The fist sample was <br /> collected directly from the well pump, prior to treatment, and was labeled <br /> 17933 Airport Way The second sample was collected after carbon <br /> canister number 1, and was labeled 17933-GACl-6 14 01 The third <br /> sample was collected after carbon canister number 2, and was labeled <br /> 17933-GAC2-6 14 01 <br /> All three samples were placed within an ice chest containing wet ice while <br /> transported to Kiff Analytical under chain of custody procedures All <br /> three samples were analyzed by Kiff Analytical for a full scan EPA Method <br /> 8260B which includes TPH-G, BTEX, and the seven fuel oxygenates, and f o r <br /> TPH as diesel by EPA Method 8015 A copy of the certified analytical <br /> results are attached in Appendix C <br /> WATER SAMPLE ANALYTICAL RESULTS <br /> • The only compound identified in sample 17933 Airport Way (the pre- <br /> treated water sample) was MTBE at 0 76 parts per billion (ppb) <br /> • No compounds were identified in either of the two samples collected <br /> after treatment This proves that the treatment system is in fact <br /> working as designed <br /> ASE will continue to monitor the performance of the treatment system <br /> and conduct monthly operation and maintenance tasks on the system a n d <br /> quarterly sampling and analysis Carbon canisters will be replaced and <br /> recycled by ASE when it is determined that MTBE has broken through a <br /> specific canister A report of the quarter's activities will follow in the <br /> month after sampling is conducted <br />
