Attempt to Locate a Well or Conduit on the Prol)erty on the <br /> Northeast Corner of West Yosemite Avenue and Airport WaT <br /> Significant groundwater contamination is present in deeper water-bearing <br /> zones across West Yosemite Avenue ASE suspects that an improperly <br /> abandoned well on the vacant lot across West Yosemite Avenue may be a <br /> conduit for this downward movement of MTBE through the aquitard, <br /> which appears to be generally competent at the site ASE recommends <br /> that the following steps be completed in order to locate this suspected <br /> conduit <br /> 7 1 1 Review of Historical Photos and Records <br /> ASE recommends that historical aerial photographs be reviewed for that <br /> property in an attempt to locate the former well location on that <br /> property ASE will also determine if any historical insurance photographs <br /> exist for that property Various other records will also be reviewed such <br /> as Sanborne Fire Insurance maps, or county and city records <br /> . 7 1 2 Conduct an Electromagnetic Survey <br /> ASE recommends that this property be surveyed for electromagnetic <br /> anomalies in an attempt to locate an abandoned well or other possible <br /> conduit on that property Ground penetrating radar may also be used <br /> when deemed appropriate Any conduit located should be sealed <br /> immediately <br /> 7 .2 Install Additional Monitoring,,.Wells North of the Site <br /> ASE recommends the installation of shallow (19-foot bgs) and mid-zone <br /> (50-feet bgs) groundwater monitoring wells in the following locations <br /> (a) on the west shoulder of Airport Way near 17971 Airport, (b) on the <br /> west shoulder of Airport Way in front of either 17883 or 17821 Airport <br /> Way, and (c) at the location of CPT-26 on the vacant property north of the <br /> site ASE also recommends a deeper monitoring well, over 100-feet bgs, <br /> at the location of CPT-26, and a shallow well, less than 20-feet bgs, west of <br /> boring BH-A to further define the extent of contamination in this area <br /> The proposed well locations are shown on Figure 14 <br /> Frank's One Stop Remedial Action Plan — August 2001 <br /> -24- <br />
