sampled on a quarterly basis anytime that it does not contain
free-floating hydrocarbons
• Since monitoring wells MW-7, MW-8, MW-9 and MW-10 provide
useful information on the vertical migration of hydrocarbons as
well as an "early warning" for contamination that may be moving
toward the on-site drinking water well, ASE recommends that that
this well remain on a quarterly sampling schedule
• ASE recommends that monitoring wells MW-11 through MW-20
continue to be sampled on a quarterly basis since they are all
relatively new and seasonal patterns for these wells have not be
shown yet
6 ) ASE recommends that monitoring wells MW-13, MW-14, MW-15 and
MW-19 be sampled monthly to provide additional information
regarding the effectiveness of the groundwater remediation system
7 ) Once again, 1,2-DCA has not been detected in any of the site
monitoring wells It 1s ASE's opinion that the 1,2-DCA that has been
detected in area domestic wells is not related to a release at Frank's
One Stop There are two houses in the site vicinity which have
domestic wells that contain 1,2-DCA without MTBE An alternate
water source has been provided to these two properties ASE
requests direction from the San Joaquin County PHS-EHD as to h o w
this situation should be dealt with
12 . 0 REPORT LIMITATIONS
The results of this assessment represent conditions at the time of the soil
and groundwater sampling, at the specific locations where the samples
were collected, and for the specific parameters analyzed by t h e
laboratory
It does not fully characterize the site for contamination resulting from
unknown sources, or for parameters not analyzed by the laboratory All
of the laboratory work cited in this report was prepared under the
direction of an independent CALrEPA certified laboratory The
independent laboratory is solely responsible for the contents a n d
conclusions of the chemical analysis data
i
Franks One Stop Report — November 2000
-20-
