Attention shall be given to the presence or <br /> absence of <br /> a. Floating or suspended matter <br /> b. Discoloration <br /> c. Bottom deposits <br /> d. Aquatic life <br /> Notes on receiving water conditions shall be summarized in the monitoring report. <br /> THREE SPECIES CHRONIC TOXICITY MONITORING <br /> Chronic toxicity monitoring shall be conducted to determine whether the effluent is contributing toxicity <br /> to the River. The testing shall be conducted as specified in EPA 600-4-91-002. Chronic toxicity samples <br /> shall be collected at the discharge of the Manteca Wastewater Treatment Plant prior to its entering the <br /> River. Twenty-four hour composite samples shall be representative of the volume and quality of the <br /> discharge. Time of sample collection shall be recorded. Chronic toxicity monitoring shall include the <br /> following: <br /> Species: Pimephales promelas, Ceriodaphnia dubia, Selenastruza caDacornutum <br /> Frequency: Once per quarter, four quarters per year <br /> The Discharger shall conduct quarterly chronic toxicity testing using 100 percent effiuent and 2 controls. If <br /> toxicity is found in any of the 100 percent test, the Discharger must immediately retest using the full <br /> sampling protocol of 5 dilutions listed below. <br />
