r
30 January 2019 AdvancedGeo
AGE Project No. 18-4574 Environmental
Methamphetamine concentrations exceeded the limit of 1.5 micrograms per 100 square
centimeters (pg/100 cm2) in all of the wipe samples collected within the property
residence, at concentrations ranging from 3.0 pg/100 cm2 (Master closet wall) to 1,700
pg/100 cm2 (Kitchen sink). The results are summarized in the attached Sampling Results
Table.
The highest level of contamination was reported in a surface -wipe sample collected from
the kitchen sink facet. Additionally, elevated levels were reported in samples collected
from bedroom 1, the guest bathroom, the master bedroom, and the kitchen.
Although field evidence suggests bedroom 1 as the main methamphetamine conversion
(or cooking) area, relatively higher concentrations were reported throughout the
residence. This suggests that the entirety of the property was utilized for handling of
chemicals and product.
A copy of the ALS Environmental laboratory report (Work order No. 34-1901661) and
chain of custody form are included as Appendix A.
3.0. ABATEMENT DISCUSSION
Abatement of the site will be scheduled once approval has been granted of this PSAR by
EHD. Abatement will be conducted throughout the residence.
3.1 ABATEMENT METHODS
Abatement methods will include: disposal, scrub washing and cloth wiping, encapsulation,
demolition, and enclosed floor buffing and washing.
3.1.1. Disposal
Abatement will include disposal in an appropriate landfill of the following:
All exposed personal items within the property residence including: furniture,
clothing, dishes, silverware, small appliances, chest freezer, buckets, etc.
• Ducting, vents, air filters and fan units associated with the heating/cooling system.
• Popcorn ceiling material located throughout the house.
A manifest will be submitted with the Preliminary Site Assessment Final Report (PSAFR).
