Ten Geoprobes® (GP-I through GP-10)were installed on July 23 and 24, 1998 and three groundwater monitoring wells (MW-1 through MW-3) were installed on August 20, 1998 (Figure 5) Results of these investigations are included in the Soil and Groundwater Investigation Report dated September 25, 1998 prepared by Pacific Environmental Group Groundwater monitoring has been conducted at the site since August 24, 1998 CV-RWQCB APPENDIX B CHECKLIST RESPONSES The following are responses to the ten checklist items contained in Appendix B of the Tri-Regional Board Guidelines for Requests for Closure 1 Distance to production wells for municipal, domestic, agriculture, industry and other used within 2,000 feet of the site A search of well records at the Department of Water Resources (DWR) in Sacramento was performed to determine the existence of nearby water supply wells, and local groundwater use The closest documented water-supply well is a municipal well located approximately 1,500 feet north (downgradient) of the site This well is screened from 90 feet to 150 feet below ground surface (bgs) Impacted groundwater at the site is at approximately 13 feet bgs or approximately 70 feet above the screened interval Results of the DWR search are presented as Table 1 Well locations are shown on Figure 3 2 Site maps, to scale, of area impacted showing locations of former and existing tank systems, excavation contours and sample locations, borings and monitoring well elevation contours, gradients and nearby surface waters, buildings, streets, and subsurface utilities A site Iocation map and site plan are included as Figures 1 and 2 Soil sample, Geoprobe®and monitoring well locations are presented as Figures 4 and 5 The groundwater gradient for the First Quarter 1999 is presented in the Groundwater Monitoring& Sampling Report prepared by Gettler-Ryan (Attachment B) 3 High and low groundwater levels (below ground surface) Depth to groundwater measured from July 1998 to February 1999 ranged from a high of 12 79 feet below ground surface (bgs) to a low of 14 63 feet bgs Historical depth to groundwater and groundwater elevation data is presented in the First Quarter 1999 Groundwater Monitoring & Sampling Report prepared by Gettler-Ryan (Attachment B) 4 Tabulated results of all sampling and analysis Soil sampling results for the dispenser upgrade, Geoprobe®borings and monitoring wells are included as Tables 2 and 3 Groundwater analytical data •' collected during Geoprobe®and monitoring well installation is included in Table 9110071B/0102/Closure
