No hazardous waste determinations are made for wastes generated from
cleanups or for the rinse water generated from the lead acid batteries. At the time of inspection, it could not be
demonstrated that the employees were properly trained in cleaning up and disposing of wastes generated from
spills and properly handling waste generated from rinsing the lead acid batteries.
REGULATION GUIDANCE:The business owner must ensure that all employees are thoroughly familiar with proper
waste handling and emergency procedures, relevant to their responsibilities during normal facility operations and
emergencies.
CORRECTIVE ACTION: Immediately train the employees. Provide proof of training, including the training materials,
within 30 days to the San Joaquin County Environmental Health Department(EHD)for employees whose
responsibilities include hazardous waste.
This is a Class II violation.
FA0010089 PRO538927 SCO01 09/12/2019
EHD 22-01 Rev.9/20/2019 Page 5 of 11 Small Quantity Hazardous Waste Generator OIR
1868 E.
