In addition, there are "Damage Station(s)"located throughout the facility where employees can place <br /> products that get damaged during the packing process. The damaged products are then moved to the OS&D <br /> processing area near door 16 to get sorted by the OS&D team. If the product is deemed a waste, it is put into <br /> the proper disposal container. Repackaged unmatched product bottles of bleach can get sent to a Sacramento <br /> facility. <br /> Some of the hazardous wastes generated at the OS&D processing area include oils, oily solids, aerosol cans, <br /> and lighter fluid. <br /> Waste streams found: used oil, oily solids, aerosol cans, lighter fluid, parts washer waste, metal fines, oil filters, <br /> lead acid batteries, oil-water separator sludge, oily rags, product spill waste, damaged product waste <br /> The inspection report was emailed to David Cornes, Facilities Maintenance Manager, at<dcornes@cswg.com> <br /> and Warren Wilhoit, Environmental Contact, at <wwilhoit@cswg.com> <br /> During the hazardous waste inspection, several questions were asked to David Comes, and he was not able to <br /> answer them. Per California Health and Safety Code 25185.6 (a)(1): The department or a local officer or <br /> agency authorized to enforce this chapter pursuant to subdivision (a)of Section 25180, in connection with any <br /> action authorized by this chapter, may require any of the following persons to furnish and transmit, upon <br /> reasonable notice,to the designated offices of the department or the local officer or agency any existing <br /> information relating to hazardous substances, hazardous wastes, or hazardous materials. <br /> A list of questions was emailed to David Cornes on September 20, 2019. The San Joaquin County <br /> Environmental Health Department did not receive any response. A follow up email was sent on October 1, <br /> 2019, asking for the facility to send a response to our department no later than October 8, 2019. As of October <br /> 11, 2019, no response has been received for the questions that were asked. <br /> The questions were as follows: <br /> 1. A) What operations take place at the door 85 area? <br /> B) Where do the products and waste come from that end up at the door 85 area? <br /> C) How long is product/waste staged here before moving on to another location? <br /> D) Where do the products and wastes end up going? <br /> 2. How much hazardous waste/hazardous materials inventory is stored at the facility at any one time? Give <br /> specific volumes and weights. <br /> 3. A) What operations take place at the OS&D area? <br /> B) What days and hours is the OS&D area operating? <br /> 4.
