Rainwater Car Wash2 27 October 2011 <br /> 420 W. Yosemite Ave, Ma6ca <br /> San Joaquin County <br /> SJCEHD records show three underground storage tanks (USTs) and associated piping were removed <br /> in December 1998. Maximum USTs soil confirmation samples were total petroleum hydrocarbons as <br /> gasoline (TPHg), 8,000 milligrams per kilogram (mg/kg); benzene, 84 mg/kg, toluene, 650 mg/kg; <br /> ethylbenzene, 170 mg/kg; xylenes, 880 mg/kg; and methyl tert butyl ether (MTBE), 690 mg/kg. <br /> Thirteen groundwater monitoring wells, three groundwater extraction wells, ten soil borings and four <br /> cone penetrometer testing boring were completed from 1999 to 2010. Maximum soil borings results <br /> were TPHg, 390 mg/kg; TPH as Diesel (TPHd), 49 mg/kg; benzene, 1.1 mg/kg; toluene, 17 mg/kg; <br /> ethylbenzene, 8.5 mg/kg; xylenes, 51 mg/kg; and MTBE, 110 mg/kg. Maximum groundwater <br /> concentrations in February 2010 were TPHg, 28,000 micrograms per Liter (ug/L); benzene, 110 ug/L; <br /> toluene, 260 ug/L; ethylbenzene, 700 ug/L; xylenes, 1,590 ug/L; tertiary amyl methyl ether, 61 ug/L; <br /> and MTBE, 4,200 ug/L. <br /> You are currently out of compliance with regulatory directives, which may result in formal enforcement <br /> action with potential administrative civil liabilities (fines). However, Regional Water Board staff would <br /> prefer the opportunity to work cooperatively with you, to move this USTs case into compliance with <br /> future directives and eventually towards closure. We request that you meet with us at our office.
