(AGE). PHS/EHD has received a
copy of the corrective action costs pre-approval letter dated July 31,2001 from State
Underground Storage Tank Clean Up Fund (Fund). The proposed work has not been
implemented nor scheduled to date.
Due to the exceptionally high levels of methyl tert butyl ether(MTBE) as well as petroleum
hydrocarbons concentrations in the groundwater plume at this site, there is great urgency to
install the proposed interim remediation system as soon as possible in order to control the
migration of the contamination plume. Implement the proposed work by September 30,
2001. Failure to comply with PHS/EHD directives may jeopardize your eligibility with the
Fund, or may result in formal request of enforcement action from Central Valley Regional
Water Quality Control Board.
If you have any questions, please contact Jeffrey Wong at (209)468-0335.
Donna Heran, RENS,Director
Environmental Health Division
C -
Jeffrey Wong,Sr. REHS Dot Lofstro RG
LOP/Site Mitigation Unit IV LOP/Site Mitigation Unit IV
c: RWQCB, Central Valley Region- Marry Hartzell
c: Advanced GeoEnvironmental, Inc.- Tim Cuellar
A Division of San Joaquin County Health Care Services
