Installation of a down-well pump and a one-inch diameter Schedule 80 PVC pipe in <br /> extraction well N 1 (EW-1). <br /> 2. Installation of a two-inch diameter Schedule 80 PVC pipe in a 1.5-foot deep trench between <br /> the EW-1 and the groundwater treatment system. <br /> 3. Installation of the groundwater treatment system including two granular activated carbon <br /> (GAC)vessels and two SunSolve vessels,associated piping and electrical conduits, <br /> controllers,and a 1,000-gallon holding tank <br /> 4. Placement of dedicated transducers in EW-I and selected observation wells to obtain <br /> information needed for optimization of the groundwater extraction system. <br /> 5. Implementation of groundwater extraction and treatment system in an effort to control the <br /> contamination groundwater plume and to protect local water supply wells <br /> 6. Daily monitoring of the system during the start-up period(fust two weeks of operation),and <br /> on a weekly basis after that. <br /> COMMENTS AND CONDITIONS: <br /> 1. Double contain the two-inch Schedule 80 PVC pipe from EW-1 to the treatment system to <br /> prevent damage or leakage due to the high vehicular traffic at the site. Increase width and <br /> depth of the trench as necessaryin order to accommodate the additional secondary <br /> containment piping. <br /> 2.
