distribution and storage uses which have moderate to high nuisance characteristics
such as noise, heat, glare, odor, and vibration, and which require segregation from
other land uses, and/or may require outside storage areas."
Existing and Proposed Septic Tank Usage
Existing Septic System
According to the Site Plan provided by Mr. Bavaro, two septic systems are currently
located on the Site (Plate 2).
Proposed Septic System
Hogan Manufacturing Inc. plans to build a new septic system for the proposed shop.
On-Site Septic Permit History
The San Joaquin County Environmental Health Department septic permit files were
searched for the Site addresses. Nine permits were identified:
• November 1958 permit for replacement septic system at residence. The system
utilized an 800-gallon tank, a 40-foot leach line, and a 33-inch diameter by 25-
foot deep seepage pit (1748). The residence has since been demolished.
• November 1959 permit for addition to existing residential system. According to
the permit, a 10-foot leach line and a 23-inch diameter by 25-foot deep seepage
pit were added to the existing system (1748).
• April 1960 permit for repair to existing residential system. A 50-foot leach line
and a 33-inch diameter by 25-foot deep seepage pit were added to the existing
system (1748).
• September 1962 permit for addition of seepage pit to existing system for toilet
and wash basin in shop building. The permit indicated that a single 33-inch
diameter by 25-foot deep seepage pit was added (1754).
• December 1963 permit for new residential septic system. The system utilized a
1,200-gallon septic tank, two 75-foot leach lines, and two 33-inch diameter by 25-
foot deep seepage pits (1748).
• April 1990 permit for septic destruction (1796). Based on the included sketch, it
appears there was once a house at this address as well.
LOGE 20-24 Page 2
