Attachment C Page 1 of 8 <br /> SIGMA CIRCUITS Inc . , STOCKTON DIVISION <br /> FIELD SITE <br /> TREATMENT UNIT OPERATION <br /> UNIT 1 <br /> SYSTEM TYPE : CONTINUOUS <br /> DESCRIPTION (Refer to Unit Block Diagram, Attachment C-1 , <br /> Page 1 ) <br /> Waste Treatment Unit #1 consists of a Continuous Wastewater <br /> Pretreatment System (CWTS) coupled to two accumulation tanks <br /> and a final receiving tank , along with other receiving tanks <br /> for waste entering the unit . <br /> Design : <br /> The CWTS consists of two treatment tanks , a flocculation tank , <br /> a Decant Receiver Tank , two clarifiers, a Sludge Processing <br /> Tank , and a filter press . <br /> There are also two accumulation tanks , receiving tanks for <br /> spent developer and other waste streams , and the final <br /> receiving tank for discharge to the city sewer . <br /> The entire system is within a bermed area. The berming <br /> consists of raised areas about six inches tall by eighteen <br /> inches wide. The entire system rests at ground level . <br /> There are no floor drains in this area. Any liquid spills in <br /> the area are pumped to the system with portable pumps and <br /> hoses . <br /> A) The incoming Waste Receiver Tank (WRT) is a 2000 gallon <br /> capacity polypropylene tank about 2 years old. This tank <br /> is equipped with a pH electrode and controller and also <br /> delivery lines for caustic and metal precipitant . <br /> Initial pH adjustment takes place in this tank . The pH <br /> is maintained at 9 by automatic addition of sodium <br /> hydroxide. <br />
