This tank is <br /> equipped with a mechanical mixer and a chemical delivery <br /> line for liquid coagulant . <br /> C) The Flocculation and Settling Tank ( FST) is a 2200 gallon <br /> capacity conical polypropylene tank about 4 years old . <br /> This tank is also equipped with a mechanical mixer and a <br /> chemical delivery line . Liquid flocculent is added to <br /> this tank. <br /> D) The Decant Receiver Tank is a mild steel tank with a <br /> plastic liner . This tank has a nominal capacity of 250 <br /> gallons and is about 9 years old . Additional liquid <br /> flocculent is available to add to this tank if necessary . <br /> E) The clarifiers are funnel -shaped , rectangular tanks with <br /> plastic liners and packing . Number 1 clarifier is steel <br /> with a plastic liner and has a nominal capacity of 5000 <br /> gallons . The second clarifier is a lamella type with a <br /> polypropylene shell and has a nominal capacity of 1500 <br /> gallons . <br /> F ) The Sludge Processing Tank (SPT) is a 1000 gallon <br /> polypropylene tank about 3 years old. It is equipped <br /> with inlet lines from the clarifier bottoms . A hose <br /> reaching to the bottom of the tank is connected to the <br /> filter press pump suction to draw the sludge up from the <br /> tank into the press. <br />
