J <br /> 3.0 REFERENCE DOCUMENTS/FORMS <br /> 3.1 Documents <br /> 3.1.1 California Title 8, Section 3220 <br /> 3.1.2 CFR 1910.38 <br /> 3.1.3 CFR 1910.120 <br /> 3.1.4 California Title 22, Section 66265 <br /> 4.0 EQUIPMENTIMATERIALSITERMS AND DEFINITIONS <br /> 4.1 Terms and Definitions: <br /> 4.1.1 Emergency Response Coordinator(ERC):The ERC is responsible for coordination of plant <br /> emergencies. The ERC shall have the authority for suspending operations in times of emergency. <br /> He will contact outside organizations for help if he feels the work is beyond their level of training. <br /> 4.1.2 Emergency Response Team (ERT): The ERT is a team of employees assigned to assist ERC carry <br /> out his duties in times of emergency, i.e. safe evacuation, headcount, and follow fire department <br /> directions. <br /> 4.1.3 Emergency: Any sudden occurrence that could be life threatening or cause damage to the <br /> environment, private or public property. (Fire, Earthquake, Chemical or Hazardous waste spill). <br /> 4.2 Materials/Equipment: <br /> 4.2.1 Two-way radios <br /> 4.2.2 Flashlights <br /> 4.2.3 Emergency equipment lockers <br /> 5.0 PROCEDURE/REQUIREMENTS <br /> 5.1 Fire/Explosion <br /> 5.1.1 The individual discovering the fire will immediately contact lobby by dialing extension 0 and report <br /> the to the location of fire. <br /> 5.1.2 He will then ensure that there is no employee trapped and evacuate safely. <br /> 5.1.3 Lobby upon receiving notification of a fire will do the following: <br /> 5.1.3.1 Contact the ERC and advise him of the emergency situation. <br /> 5.1.3.2 Activate the evacuation alarm (General Fire Alarm Bells). <br /> 5.1.3.2 Notify Manteca Fire Department by dialing 9-911 and advise them of the emergency. <br /> 5.1.4 ERC (or Designate)responsibilities: <br /> 5.1.4.1 Respond immediately to the Security area when notified of emergency. <br /> 5.1.4.2 Assign responsibilities to Emergency Response Team Members. <br /> 5.1.4.3 Ensure that evacuation or partial evacuation of the facility is completed. <br /> 5.1.4.4 Coordinate emergency actions with Fire Department when they arrive and assist them as <br /> needed. <br /> 5.1.4.5 Maintain contact with ERTs and management by two-way radios. <br /> 5.1.5 ERT(or Designates) responsibilities: <br /> 5.1.6.1 Immediately respond to their assigned areas. <br /> 5.1.6.2 Ensure that individuals in their areas are taking appropriate action and the equipment is <br /> shutdown. <br /> 5.1.6.3 Evacuate employees safely out of the building. <br /> 5.1.6.2 Assembly point for ERT members will be the South door. <br /> 5.1.6.3 Direct Fire Department to appropriate area as assigned by ERC. <br /> 5.1.6.4 If appropriate conduct building sweep as assigned by ERC <br /> 5.1.6.4 Conduct Headcount checks as assigned by the ERC. <br /> 5.1.6.5 Each ERT must report any shortages or extras to the headcount and when headcount is <br /> complete to the Management. <br /> 5.1.7 Employees responsibilities: <br /> 5.1.7.1 Employees will shut off their machines and evacuate per the facility evacuation plan. <br /> 5.1.7.2 Employees will not go to their lockers, restrooms, etc., but straight to assigned Assembly Point <br /> areas. <br /> TITLE: EMERGENCY RESPONSE PLAN Page 2 of 10 <br />
