(Silicon Turnkey Solutions)
400 Industrial Park
Manteca, CA 95337
Dear Mr. Price,
On December 15, 2000 the State Department of Toxic Substances Control (DTSC)
conducted a hazardous waste generator inspection at ISE Labs, Inc (ISE). As a result
of that inspection a Summary of Violations (SOV) with required corrective actions was
issued to ISE. A copy of the final inspection report and SOV is enclosed. A copy of this
report has also been submitted to the San Joaquin County Certified Unified Program
Agency (CUPA).
On January 16, 2001, the DTSC received from ISE an acceptable action plan for
correcting certain violations that were noted in the SOV, and certification of return to
compliance for the remainder of the violations. On March 6, 2001, the DTSC received a
certification of return to compliance for the remaining violations, and an acceptable plan
for training employees. It is the understanding of the DTSC that ISE has hired staff to
conduct training, and that all employees involved in the handling of hazardous materials
will be adequately trained by April 2, 2001, and that ISE will maintain documentation of
the training provided. Please note that hazardous waste labeling violations have been
documented at ISE during past inspections, and that these chronic minor violations will
be reclassified as Class II or Class I violations if they persist.
Based on information provided to DTSC by ISE, no further action is required on the part
of ISE. However, if an inspection is conducted by the CUPA or DTSC to verify the
correction of violations, and it is found that the violations listed in the SOV issued on
December 15, 2000 are not corrected, DTSC will take appropriate enforcement against
ISE.
