All spill containers shall have a <br /> minimum capacity of five gallons. Immediately contact a properly licensed, trained, and certified contractor to repair <br /> or replace the spill containers under permit and inspection of the EHD. <br /> The 87 direct-bury spill container failed when tested. The technician chose not to test either spill container after they <br /> both failed to hold 5 gallons. In the few minutes between adding the initial water in the spill bucket and returning to <br /> vacuum the water out, the liquid in the 87 spill container dropped approximately 1 inch. All spill containers shall <br /> have a minimum capacity of five gallons and be capable of containing a spill or overfill until it is detected or cleaned <br /> up. Immediately discontinue deposition of petroleum into this tank until the component is repaired or replaced by a <br /> properly licensed, trained, and certified contractor under permit and inspection of the EHD. If the spill container <br /> can't be replaced immediately, there is a possibility that the 87 UST system may be red tagged to prevent fuel <br /> inputs. <br /> This is a minor violation. <br /> 320 CCR 2635, 2637.2, 2665, 2712 Failure to comply with the installation, inspection, or record keeping of the overfill <br /> prevention. <br /> The 87 and diesel mechanical flappers used as the overfill prevention system were marked as failures on the <br /> 10/11/18 Overfill Prevention Equipment Inspection Report. Immediately discontinue deposition of petroleum into <br /> this tank until the component is repaired or replaced by a properly licensed, trained, and certified contractor under <br /> permit and inspection of the EHD. If the failed component can't be replaced immediately, there is a possibility that <br /> the 87 and diesel UST systems may be red tagged to prevent fuel inputs. <br /> This is a Class II violation. <br /> Overall Inspection Comments: <br /> Complete and submit a copy of the Return to Compliance Certification form to the EHD with a statement <br /> documenting the corrective actions that have been or will be taken for each violation, and any supporting <br /> paperwork, by February 24, 2019. <br /> Starting September 1, 2018, all in-office CERS help will be provided at EHD hourly rate ($152).
