Orenco Systems Inc. March 2002
AdvanTex AX 10 Test Report
LThe splitter valve consists of an effluent discharge pipe located within a drain pipe from the
filter pod. During conditions in which there is no sewage being discharged to the treatment
unit, liquid from the filter pod drains directly back to the recirculation compartment. During
L periods in which the treatment unit is subject to sewage flows, a portion of the liquid from
the filter pod is discharged as effluent through the center pipe, and the balance is returned
to the recirculation compartment.
L
Typical air exchange is provided via the natural draft action that occurs through the tank
and the home or building sewer's vent. Initially a vent was not installed as a result of the
L manufacturer's oversight during the installation. Nevertheless, there appeared to be ample
L air movement through the tank and treatment unit because of a small crack in the riser over
the recirculation chamber.
L
L
L
L
L
L
L
L
L
L
L
L
Nova Tec Consultants Inc.
