Box 447
Stockton, CA 95201
SUBJECT: Bi-Annual Inspection conducted at the Wastewater Treatment Plant
Mokelumne Manor: 8960 Walnut Grove Rd., Thornton, CA
Permit Number: PT0005624, Facility I.D.: FA0004101
Inspection Date: June 21, 2010
The first bi-annual inspection was conducted at the wastewater treatment plant on
June 21, 2010. The wastewater treatment plant currently services approximately
eighty-one (;?1), single-family unit dwellinric The plant operations and flow rates are
monitored on a regular basis by staff personnel. A daily monitoring and reporting
program is implemented. Flow rates are monitored and recorded daily on a reporting
log.
The plant receives wastewater from two separate housing communities. Mokelumne
Manor services approximately fifty (50), single-family dwellings, and Sartini services
approximately thirty-one (31), single-family dwellings. The housing units are currently at
their full capacity.
The following was observed and noted upon inspection of the facility this date:
1) Mokelumne and Sartini wastewater lines are gravity flowed and terminate at a
a central distribution box prior to entering the main lift station located
southwest of the housing facilities. The wastewater is directed through a
series of valves and meter boxes and pumped into an Imhoff-Tank where
further processing takes place. Upon inspection, no odors were detected at,
near, and around perimeter boundries. The redwood board staircase accessing
the open area(s) of the Imhoff tank was repaired in 2006.
2) Upon inspection, the facility plant yard appeared well maintained. The gates were
locked and signs are posted at the north, south, east and west locations to
prevent unauthorized person(s) from illegal entry. No odors were detected at the
plant. Some weeds were observed. Continue ongoing weed control methods.
1
