Ensure that the stairs and walk-ways are not slippery upon inclement weather by
installing additional grip paper to the surface of the stairs and planks surrounding
the Imhoff-Tank. Provide appropriate safety measures on a continuous basis.
3) The wastewater is processed at the Imhoff-Tank and then transported via
gravity flow to the ponds located southwest across Interstate Highway 5.
Upon inspection, the gate allowing entry to the ponds was locked. The
ponds appeared to be maintained but may be in need of a major repair to the
berms in the future. It was observed the sand bags berming the top of the ponds
are severely deteriorating. No presence of gopher holes were observed.
4) All otherarea(s) related to the operation and maintenance of Mokelumne
Manor Sewage Treatment Plant appear to be functioning per San Joaquin
County Sewage Standards. Continue to maintain and operate efficiently.
5) For the permitting year 2010 analytical testing and reporting to the
Environmental Health Department (EHD), may be required as part of a condition
of the operating permit. The monitoring frequency is to be determined at a later
date by the EHD. The wastewater may be required to be sampled for the
following constituents by an employee of a state certified analytical laboratory
and results submitted to the EHD:
TKN Included Nitrates and Ammonia
BOD Biological Oxygen Demand
TSS Total Suspended Solids
pH
CBOD Carbonaceous Biological Oxygen Demand
6) A Wastewater Treatment Plant Operator, or a Certified Operator, certified by the
State of California Water Resources Control Board (SWRCB), shall be available
to operate the plan as noted on the last inspection, per San Joaquin County
OnSite Wastewater Disposal Standards, Section 4.5., and Section 4.13., (San
Joaquin County Ordinance Code Section 9-110.5). A copy of the operator
certification shall be submitted to the EHD and placed on permanent file.
If you should have any questions please call Lisa Medina, SR, REHS
at (209)468-3455.
Rodney Estrada
Acting Program Coordinator
c. 8960 Walnut Grove Rd., Thornton, CA 95686
Attachments
2
