verification borings to define the limit of hydrocarbon impacted soils and re-sampling the <br /> groundwater monitor wells <br /> I21 &-Uing and History <br /> The site is located on the west side of the City of Manteca in San Joaquin County, California in a <br /> mixed commercial and residential district The property is currently an operating Jackpot Food Mart <br /> and BP Station with an automobile repair shop adjacent to the eastern property boundary and a <br /> Ivacant lot and residential area to the south West Yosemite Avenue is directly north and Watson <br /> Avenue is directly west of the site The former and current site features are shown on the Site Plan <br /> (Figure 2) The site is approximately 30 feet above mean sea level Locally the land slopes very <br /> gently towards the San Joaquin River and Walthall Slough,which are 3 5 miles southwest of the site <br /> I <br /> The following is a brief chronology of the environmental related activities conducted at the site <br /> ■ September 1991, underground tanks, related piping, and product dispensers were <br /> replaced as part of a facility upgrade Soil sampling was conducted by Canome <br /> ■ August 1992, a soil vapor survey was performed at the site by Canome <br /> I ■ <br /> September 1992 a preliminary site assessment was conducted b Canome which <br /> P � P ar3' Y <br /> I3— involved drilling seven soil borings Vapor wells (W1, W2, and W4) were installed <br /> in three of the borings and groundwater monitor wells (W3, W5, W6, and W7) <br /> rA fly were installed in the remaining four <br /> I ■ December 1992, a soil vapor extraction test was conducted on the site vapor wells <br /> by Canorue <br /> I <br /> ■ December 1993, an additional environmental investigation was conducted by <br /> SEACOR which included the drilling of four additional soil borings(SB-1, SB-2, <br /> SB-TOC 1434 PAR ^I 3LACOR• <br /> NOOOSA02-01 2 Mey 31 1994 <br /> I <br />
