3, and SB-4) to further define the extent of petroleum hydrocarbons in the soil at the <br /> site and re-sample the groundwater momtor wells per the PHS/EHD's request <br /> 22 Well Location Survey <br /> A survey of all private, commercial, and municipal wells within a half-mile radius of the site was <br />' conducted using information available from the California Department of Water Resources The <br /> survey indicated that a total of four wells are on record as being dniled within a half-mile radius of <br />' the site which include two domestic, one irrigation, and one "test hole" The well locations and <br /> owner information are presented on Figure 3 <br /> I <br /> 3.0 SCOPE OF WORK <br /> 3 1 Underground Storage Tank Removal <br />' On September 19, 1991 three USTs and related product dispensers and piping were replaced at the <br /> site as part of a facility upgrade The USTs consisted of one 12,000-gallon tank which contained <br /> regular unleaded gasoline, one $,000-gallon tank which contained regular leaded gasoline, and a <br />' 6,000 gallon tank which contained premium unleaded gasoline Visual inspection of the tanks and <br /> tank piping showed no holes or apparent signs of leakage (Canonic, 1992a) <br />' After removal of the USTs and theP ump islands, soil samples were collected from the tank and <br />' pump island excavations These soil samples were submitted for analyses for TPHg and BTEX <br /> Soil samples from the beneath the leaded gasoline tank and the pump island excavations were also <br />' analyzed for EDB and total lead Following tank removal and soil sampling, approximately 300 <br /> cubic yards of soil excavated to facilitate the removal of the tanks was transported offsite to <br />' Callahan Ranch in Red Bluff, California for treatment by aeration/bioremediation The tank pit was <br /> backfilled with the soils excavated from the new tank excavation by the contractor The fill was <br />' compacted to minimize settling <br />' TOC1434 PAR 3 <br /> N0D052.0] Mayy 31 ll 199944 <br /> ] <br /> -0 <br /> 1 <br />
