SANJOAQUIN
v. COUNTY
Greatness grows here,
From: Kim Huerta <KimHu(@westmarine.com>
Sent: Wednesday, August 7, 2019 9:52 AM
To: Backus, Garrett<gbackus(a sjgov.org>
Cc: Store Manager 6 Stockton <mgr00006(cDwestmarine.com>
Subject: RE: West Marine Stockton - Follow Up
Hi Garrett,
We only allow products that were purchased through West Marine to be returned. We do not
accept expired flares. We ask that the customer dispose of them and generally direct them to the
local fire department. I'm not sure why the Delta Visitors bureau has that information on their
website. I will request to have that removed because it is not correct.
Our return policy is: https://www.westmarine.com/CustomerService/Returns-Exchanges
Products that have fuel or other corrosive solids, we process the return but ask the customer to not
bring it into the store and to dispose of the product themselves.
I hope that clarifies. If not I'm happy to speak on the phone if it's easier.
Thank you!
Kim
From: Backus, Garrett [mailto:gbackus(@sjgov.org]
Sent: Wednesday, August 7, 2019 8:59 AM
To: Kim Huerta
Cc: Store Manager 6 Stockton
Subject: RE: West Marine Stockton - Follow Up
Hi Kim,
Thank you for the information received and I've closed all of the violations except for 3030.
I'll need more information to close violation 3030.
1 agree that products that customers return products for various reasons including that they don't
like them or are defective.
