Thomas
Subject: RE: Joe Grindstone Engineered Plans for Septic Holding Tanks
Attachments: 2004071_WWTank_LettertoSJCPW.pdf
Elisabeth
I have finished reviewing the report. Regarding the floodway definition number 4, the report states that the project is
indeed between the levees and flood water does flow over the project site which means it is within the floodway. The
report then simply states that "it is not the watercourse itself'. The report need to explain this statement and provide
concrete reasoning as to why the project site should not be considered part of a watercourse or river and why it does
not meet floodway definition number 4.
Michael Callahan
Senior Civil Engineer
San Joaquin County
Department of Public Works
(209)468-9360
mcallahan@sjgov.org
From: Elisabeth A. My colleague, Joseph
Thomas, who is Certified Floodplain Manager has reviewed the comments and relevant site data. Please see the
attached letter he prepared addressing the floodway concerns.
Please feel free to reach out to us to discuss. We are eager to help Grindstone Joes move this project forward.
Best,
-Elisabeth
I am currently working from home due to the ongoing concerns related to the coronavirus. Our West Sacramento office is
currently closed. During this time you can dial me direct @ 916-403-5914.
