The following is an itemized list of hazardous waste violations that have not been <br /> addressed for Yardscape Construction Inc. as of September 28 , 2020 . <br /> Open violations from August 112020 inspection <br /> ❑ This violation was corrected ❑ This violation will be corrected by ( date) . <br /> ❑ Supporting documents included <br /> Describe actions taken or will be taken to correct violation : <br /> Violation #301 - Facility not maintained to minimize the release of a hazardous waste. <br /> OBSERVATION: The owner, Hector Gonzalez, stated that he uses used oil from cars on his cement equipment as <br /> a releasing agent. <br /> -On the north side of the center yard , used oil leaked out of a container used for coating equipment and spilled onto <br /> concrete beneath it creating a dark saturated stain . <br /> -On the south side of the center yard , dark saturated oily staining was observed on the ground where the used oil is <br /> applied onto the cement equipment. <br /> REGULATION GUIDANCE: A hazardous waste generator must maintain and operate its facility to minimize the <br /> possibility of a fire , explosion , or any unplanned sudden or non-sudden release of hazardous waste or hazardous <br /> waste constituents to air, soil , or surface water which could threaten human health or the environment. <br /> CORRECTIVE ACTION: Immediately clean the oily stains . Manage the waste according to Title 22 California Code <br /> of Regulations for hazardous waste .
