TRAINING <br />1. Medical waste pickup service procedure. <br />2. Containing and packing for shipment non -hazardous drugs procedure (see instructions <br />with each system) <br />3. For tracking purposes, and to retrieve date of receipt and treatment and weights, log <br />into your SharpsTracer® account at www.sharpstracer.com. The Hospital's User ID, is <br />bphxxxx (hospital number). The hospital password is banfieldl. <br />4. Upon arrival and processing at the treatment/disposal facility, the waste will be <br />treated in compliance with all state and federal regulations. <br />TRAINING FOR HAZARDOUS PHARMACEUTICAL WASTE <br />1. This hospital will provide a waste profile to hazardous waste transporter. <br />2. Black DOT -compliant hazardous waste container shall be placed in maintenance. <br />3. A list of identified hazardous pharmaceuticals shall be posted in the maintenance near <br />the black hazardous pharmaceutical waste container. <br />4. Acutely hazardous drugs shall be separated from non-acute drugs as indicated on the <br />waste profile. <br />5. At time of pick-up by the driver, a packet of appropriate labels will be given to the <br />hospital to affix to the appropriate black container. <br />6.
